Minnim Master Mind
• www.fetchfido.co.uk
With six colours and 4 pegs Minnim Master Mind is fairly straightforward, although each colour can be used more than once in the same row. It is also probably the most stylish mastermind game we have found. Just drag and drop the columns into the holes.
Guess the Colors
• www.gamesforthebrain.com
Six standard colours and four peg holes in each row, colours can be used more than once. We like this one because it has the feel of a standard Mastermind set. You cannot, however, move a peg once it has been placed. Click on a colour and the pegs start fill up from the left. As soon as the row is full the score for that try comes up.
There are also lots of other good games elsewhere on the website which (the hint is in the domain name) are supposed to be good for the brain!

This is an excellent mastermind game. You can choose the level of difficulty:
From 4 up to 8 balls in play;
Row length from 4 to 8 holes;
You can choose to have blanks in play or not
And you can specify the number of attempts allowed.
Click on a colour and then on the hole you want to place it - you can change the colour later if you want. Click OK to get the attempt marked.

A Goofy version of mastermind from Disney. Click "NEW" and then drag the coloured pegs onto a hole on the board. When you have made your choice, click GO. The results are displayed on the red button.

Four pegs and eight colours. This one is nice and simple to use - just drag and drop the pegs. You can only use one colour once though - no doubling up, but with eight colours that would make it very hard! I like the fact that you can change the position of a peg once you have put it down - not all games will do that. Nice layout.

This is rather impressive flash website. To navigate to the mastermind game move the mouse over the bottom part of the screen until you get Flash Games - then choose Mastermind from the menu. A submenu appears - click the + next to play. It's worth the hassle! Now if you can speak German, all the better as you will be able to understand the comments as you make a play, but even if you don't this is a great version. One of my favourites.

Mastermind with a car theme from The Chevron Cars website. Click through the colours on each car using the arrows to the left and right.
Once you have made your choice click "Check It" to see how you've done.
Grand Mastermind

Tricky. This game involves shapes as well as colours so there is much more variation than normal. However, each line is marked with three possible answers rather than two. A blue circle if you get the colour in the right place but not the shape, black for right shape and colour in the right place and a white circle for right colour and right shape in the wrong place ...... Oh, go and have a look for yourself!

A very simple four peg board with six colours. We like it just because it is so simple. You just drag and drop the pegs onto the holes and if you change your mind just replace the colour with another peg (unless it the last peg you drop in which case the score comes up immediately and you cannot change). And if you complete the puzzle you get a very nice fanfare as the solution is revealed!
