Wandering what your IQ score is? 
Here we list what we consider to be the best free intelligence tests on the web. Nearly all the ones we have listed give you an IQ score at the end and we tell you if they don't. Some of them will also offer a detailed report for a fee which is usually in the region of around $10. You do not, of course, have to accept this - the choice is yours.
You can improve your IQ score. It has often been said that IQ tests do not measure intelligence, but simply the ability to do IQ tests! Maybe. We certainly believe that you can raise your IQ score with a bit of preparation. If you would like to try this we suggest you head over to Bob Pearson's Website where you can get a whole boat load of tips and tricks to improve your rating. However, if you are unused to IQ tests, you might like to have a go at some of the tests first to get a feel for the kinds of questions that are asked. When you feel ready to start the tests you might like to begin with the Mensa Workout and Test Your IQ, which we have listed first, as tboth these tests give you the answers and tell you which you got right and which you got wrong.
Mensa Workout

There are 30 questions and you should allow yourself 30 minutes to complete them. When you have finished click the submit button and you are presented with your score out of 30 (it's not translated into an IQ score) plus the answers to all the questions with explanations. Note that this is not the official Mensa test but they let you know if you are likely to qualify should you decide to take the test.

There are 60 questions which you have 45 minutes to answer (you keep your own time). You should write your answers down on a piece of paper and then mark them against the correct answers which are given at the end. You are then shown a table from which you can read off your IQ rating. Read through the sample questions before you begin.

These are puzzles rather than standard IQ test questions but we have included them because they are fun to do. There are 10 fairly detailed questions with answers provided. You can calculate your IQ rating based on the number of questions you get right. No time limit.

and you get scored at the end of it. Nice, small and simple, this is a good one to try first.

There are several tests you can do here - mathematical, logical, pictorial, visual, or a mix of all of these. You can take as long as you like over these (sometimes quite difficult) questions and there is a choice of tests to choose from. To find out your score you need to submit your name and email and you will appear on the results table on the website.

High IQ Society

This is a society (a bit like MENSA) and you can take the tests online for free. The cognitive mental abilites IQ test (eCMA) is a timed test of 36 questions around 6 subjects. At the end your score is calculated for free. You can (of course!) buy a more detailed report. If you get a score of 124 or more you are eligible to join the society.

There are several untimed tests here to try out. The tests are untimed and reasonably short. When you have finished, enter your email address and the result is emailed to you immediately.

More tests than you can shake a stick at here, but as you are reading this page you will probably be interested in the Classical IQ Test which you will find under the free premium tests list. There are 60 questions and you are allowed 45 minutes. You are given your IQ score at the end.
The Classic IQ Test from Tickle

8 pages of IQ questions and at the end of it you are given your IQ score and a short analysis, all for free. The test is untimed. However, if you would like to find out which questions you got right, a detailed analysis of your strengths and weaknesses, charts and graphs plus information on how to enhance your IQ in the future you need to purchase a report. (The cost is small, around £13)

Take the test and you will be given a percentage test score rather than an IQ score. To get the full report showing answers, IQ level etc., plus a Myers-Briggs Personality Evaluation you will have to pay around $10. On the website there are also personality, psychological and relationship tests, plus puzzles and quizzes.

Queendom IQ Tests

There are several tests you can take here including the Classical IQ Test (109 questions to do in 40 mins) and the Culture Fair IQ Test. Other tests include emotional, spatial and verbal. BUT, and yes it is a big but, you don't get scored unless you buy the full report - not terrifically expensive at around $7 but all the same! Might be worth having a go at some of the tests to get some practice in.

This test looks at verbal, mathematical and spatial areas. The test takes around 15-20 minutes to complete and is not timed.
Note the test is free to do but to get your score you have to pay for the full report which is around $10.
IQ Test Websites to Avoid like the Plague

The test is pretty well laid out and quite short - only around 15-20 minutes and you are given a score at the end. However this happens only after you navigate several screens of advertising/onlines surveys and so on. Also they want your email address, home address and phone number before they give out the score. Additionally, many of the questions I found familiar from other tests I had taken online. Taking all this into account we find that we cannot recommend this website at all. We only mention it in case you find it via some other search method and decide to give it a go.
